Les Fantaisies du Mal est un recueil de destins croisés. Parmi eux : Léo-Pol, directeur d’hôtel à la recherche d’amitié ; Abélard, geek timide au courage irrévélé ; Héloïse, pâtissière aux amours lunaires ; et le Général Gana… dont les ambitions lumineuses renaissent dans une grotte à chauve-souris. Par une fantaisie, une sortie de route des banalités de la vie, tous se retrouvent aux frontières du réel et du surnaturel.
Les Fantaisies du Mal reprend les codes de la littérature fantastique. Il renoue avec une tradition du genre tournée vers l’absurde et l’humour grotesque. Le lecteur pourra s’en émouvoir, s’amuser et de rire aux dépens de tous les diables.
Mon avis
Tout d’abord, je tiens à remercier l’auteur pour son livre et pour sa gentillesse.
Je vais directement parler des personnages.. Et vous avouer que, je n’ai pas vraiment accroché avec personne. Mais ça, maintenant, vous le savez déjà, c’est une habitude chez moi haha.
Ce qui n’empêche absolument pas d’apprécier une lecture (et heureusement !).
On est sur un univers fantastique, mais rassurez-vous, tout est très facile à comprendre. Le fait que l’on parle de pandémie, une « maladie » qui transforme. Les gens deviennent « différents », et ne sont plus dans la « célèbre » catégorie de « normal ».
Ne plus vivre comme avant, ne plus oser, vivre avec une peur. Peur d’être qui on est.
L’auteur a su travailler avec ça vraiment très très bien. Evidemment, il y a quelques clichés, mais justement, je pense que c’était nécessaire pour l’histoire.
C’était une lecture vraiment rafraîchissante en un sens, un sujet assez important, malgré que ça soit dans un monde fantastique.
C’est également assez court, et l’écriture est telle que ça se dévore haha.
Bref, vous l’aurez compris, vous pouvez foncer !!

My opinion
First of all, I would like to thank the author for his book and for his kindness.
I’m going to talk directly about the characters.. And I have to admit that I didn’t really like anyone. But that, now, you already know, it’s a habit with me haha.
Which absolutely doesn’t prevent you from enjoying a book (fortunately !).
We are in a fantastic universe, but rest assured, everything is very easy to understand. The fact that we are talking about a pandemic, a « disease » that transforms. People become « different », and are no longer in the « famous » category of « normal ».
No longer living as before, no longer daring, living with fear. Fear of being who we are.
The author knew how to work with it really very very well. Obviously, there are some clichés, but precisely, I think it was necessary for the story.
It was a really refreshing read in a way, quite an important topic, despite it being in a fantastic world.
It’s also quite short, and the writing is such that it can be devouring haha.
In short, you will have understood it, you can go for it !!
